Beach volleyball's greatest legend, Christopher St. John "Sinjin" Smith, started a new chapter in his successful career with the launch of the SINJIN SMITH VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY. The Academy provides year-round training programs for indoor and beach volleyball in Southern California, as well as specialty clinics around the U.S. Training locations are located in the Greater Los Angeles Area (Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, West Los Angeles) and at the EXPO CENTER in the historic Exposition Park/Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum community complex. In 2010, the Sinjin Smith Volleyball Academy welcomed 2 new facilities in the Northern California area. The Riekes Center for Human Enhancement in Menlo Park, Calif. will be the home of Sinjin Smith Volleyball Academy clinics for youth participants. The 400,000 square foot DREAM COURTS sports training facility in Hayward, Calif., owned and operated by the Dream Courts Foundation, a non profit organization, will host volleyball and beach volleyball clinics and camps. The first academy location was established in 2008 at the Hangar Athletic Xchange (HAX) in Hawthorne, California, a 70,000 square foot private sports training center built in a renovated airplane hangar. Additional locations are currently in development with facility partners in California, Hawaii, and Japan.
